"Revolutionary Breakdown" is a single released from Rest in Peace's seventh studio album, Revolutionary Breakdown. It was released on February 6th, 2008 and peaked #7 in South America and #15 in the UK.
The song is fast-paced, with catchy pop-punk riffs and subversive lyrics, supposely said by the main character of the album, Anarchist Child. It's the first song of the album and is suceded by "Lie, Liar, Lies", which is like the second part of Anarchist Child's speak. It received moderated radio airplay.
Music video[]
The video shows the band playing in a black room with red lights. At the first part of the song, they're alone, but at the chorus, a little audience appears jumping and punching each others (it remains to Nirvana's "Smell Like Teen Spirit" video). At the very end of the song, the band kicks their amps and crashes their instruments, like they almost always do at their shows.
